These are the rules used at our train events & tournaments. Game Objective The goal of Mexican Train is to be the first player to lay down all of your dominoes.
Object of the game Be the first to play all your dominoes, or at least as many high-point dominoes as possible, in each round. The lowest total score after all rounds wins. Set up Place the double-12 domino in the centre piece on the table. This is where the trains begin.
The First Turn. The player to the left of the player who put down the highest double starts and players then take turns in a clockwise direction. The first turn made by each player at Mexican Train Dominoes is different to subsequent turns and can require some thought to give the best advantage.
Mexican Train is a domino game, played mainly in the USA.. a "just for fun" game, however, you can always change the rules and include more Mexican trains.
Number of Players: 2 – 4. Type of Dominoes Used: Any Domino Type of Game: Blocking Game. Number of players/domino set: 2 to 4 players using a double-9 .
Number of Players: 2-8 (Front Porch Classics” Mexican Train Dominoes is most fun. Other General Rules: Players must always play if they have an eligible tile.
